Today's Scripture Passage: Isaiah 40:28-31
28 Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. 29 He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. 30 Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; 31 but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.Today's Scripture Message:
Many times, the simple blessing of the day is opening your eyes to see it. May joy find your heart in the simplicity of life, the opportunity each day provides to change your own personal circumstance and to help another along the way. It is easy to worry about the shoes you do not have, until you see the child who cannot walk. While our joy is not in the realization of being happy that we are not less fortunate but in the promises of the life we were purposed for, in abundance of the gifts we were given that we may have an excess to be the representative of his kingdom for which we made a covenant to be. That we, despite all that comes against us, press forward in fulfillment of our purpose and know that every step of the way we are blessed and favored beyond measure, even when we can’t see nor understand why things are happening in the manner they are, it is not for us to question more than for us to know, it is well and all paths for which we walk are holy and intended; that we take from it the lesson and knowledge of His hand in all we experience and praise him for his humbling presence in all that we do.
Prayer for the day:
Father, Not my way Lord, but yours – Forever faithful, unconditionally loved, all praises to you in Jesus’ name, Amen..
Thought for the day:
“As your faith is strengthened you will find that there is no longer the need to have a sense of control, that things will flow as they will, and that you will flow with them, to your great delight and benefit.”
~ Emmanuel Teney
Goal for the Day:
Enjoy life, just as it is, just as you are – worry free.

Pastor Dickow’s Fast from Wrong Thinking
Revolution Day 28:
Today we’re fasting from the thought that says, “I’m not smart enough to succeed in today’s economy.
Let’s change it today:
1. Settle the fact that you have the mind of Christ. (1 Corinthians 2:16) Jesus was and IS the smartest man in the world! You have His Spirit and His Word. Expect success!.
2. Ask God for Wisdom. Proverbs 24:3 says that we BUILD our house by wisdom. Wisdom can build your house, business, or income! James 1:5 says ask for it and you will receive it.
3. Refuse to tolerate thoughts of inferiority. The world isn’t smarter than you. You are the temple of the Holy Spirit. You have power, love and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Royalty destroys inferiority. (Romans 5:17).”
4. Expect God to give you hidden treasures and riches. Isaiah 43:5 says, “And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I am the LORD, which call thee by thy name.
5. Be ‘success inside’ minded. Refuse to accept the idea of failure or defeat in your life. See yourself as a success no matter what it looks like. You are the giant in the land, not the grasshopper. (Numbers 13:30).
6. Accept the Bible as your Economy Text Book. There are about 1600 verses in the Bible that have to do with money. God knew these days would come and gave you the ammunition you need. Use it
THINK IT & SAY IT:
I reject the idea that I am not smart enough for today’s economy. I have the mind of Christ and refuse to tolerate inferiority. I expect the hidden treasures from God. I receive wisdom today to succeed financially and refuse to accept lack or defeat. I am success-inside minded, leading to success on the outside as well, in Jesus’ Name.”
Daily Lenten Reflection from St. Michael of Old Town
Tuesday of the 4th Week of Lent
April 5, 2011
“Then Jesus said to him, “Get up! Pick up your mat and walk.” (John 5:8)
The disabled man in John’s gospel had been going to the “healing” pool for 38 years. The belief was that the first one that went into the pool each day was healed of their sickness or disability. Whenever he tried to get into the pool someone always went in ahead of him. However, the man had great faith and kept coming back day after day. When Jesus saw him he asked him if he wanted to get well. When the man said “yes”, Jesus told him to “Get up! Pick up your mat and walk.
My wife, Rose, and I met through the online dating site EHarmony in October, 2007. One of our first conversations was about how difficult it was to meet that “special someone” and how we both reluctantly decided to try online dating. Little did we know that our leap of faith to try online dating made all of the difference. We might have never met if we didn't try it. However, more importantly we never stopped having faith that God would guide us to find the love of our life. We had to make the effort to find each other, but it was through God that everything was made possible.
In a sense, our action of signing up for online dating was like the disabled man picking up his mat and walking. A physical effort was required, but the wonderful result could not have been possible without God’s help. It also reminds us that sometimes our time table is different than God’s, but God always hears our prayers.
John & Rose Hancir
Jesus, help us to always have faith in You and never forget that you will answer all of our prayers. Amen.
