Refuse to be Moved

Today's Scripture Passage: Psalm 147:1-7 28 1 Praise the LORD. How good it is to sing praises to our God, how pleasant and fitting to praise him! 2 The LORD builds up Jerusalem; he gathers the exiles of Israel. 3 He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. 4 He determines the number of the stars and calls them each by name. 5 Great is our Lord and mighty in power; his understanding has no limit. 6 The LORD sustains the humble but casts the wicked to the ground. 7 Sing to the LORD with grateful praise; make music to our God on the harp. .......................................................................................................... Today’s Scripture Message: In our lives there are things that will come against us with the intent of steering us in the wrong direction. Refuse to be moved by the combative force that is put in your way to keep you from His kingdom and that which is purposed for you. Speak His word over your circumstances and praise him with everything in you, declining to allow any upset in the joy you have in the knowledge you’ve been granted. You can’t change, nor control another person. The only changes you can manage are the ones you make within yourself. Own the greater intent of your heart and action and allow all its place in the capable hands of God, knowing your circumstances are well tended. .......................................................................................................... Prayer for the day: Father thank you for this day and all it has to offer. Please grant me the strength to continue as purposed removing all that is against my walk in obedience to your call on my life. That I am able to fulfill all that I am responsible for to your pleasure and intent without wavering, even in the eye of a storm. Peace, Love & Thanks - Giving

Today's Scripture Passage: Colossians 3:15 15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace and be thankful. ...........................................................................................................Today's Scripture Message: Waking up hearing mostly all that was “wrong” with the world and my heart sank just a little, until I thought, “there but for the grace of God, go I” thinking of my mother and grandparents who have since passed away and all of the lessons of my living that remain with me as a foundational springboard to insist on doing better, no matter what, keep moving. Family, as well as life in general, is all imperfect except for the love that resonates from one to the other, different for each who experiences it but a glue that binds in good times as well as not the best of times. The fact of the matter is because of the love of those who precede us, with the grace of our Lord & Savior, we are here and I thank God for the gift of the lessons of each day. Some happy and others trying but in each an opportunity to learn, love and share allowing those who surround me to experience life with me, not in burden or triumph but in the expression of the greatness of the lesson learned. Life for me has not been perfect by far but everyday that I witness the twinkle in the eye of my children, in the face of the neighbor that greets me daily, in the smiles and funny expressions of those who keep me laughing, in the commitment made by others to lift those who are having trouble standing, in the efforts made to “get the job done”, and the remembrance of those who have gone before me, I learn to humbly say “I appreciate you”, “I forgive you”, “I am proud of you”, “How can I help”, but most of all “I love you” & “Thank you”. So as this day progresses, and you look around you, remember to simply say “Thank you”. ...........................................................................................................Prayer for the day: Father forgive me. Help me to always remember I am flawed and my perfection is the existence of you in my life. Hold my tongue and guide my heart that I never feel I have risen so high I somehow am better than my brother or sister in need. That I never overlook the opportunity to share your word, your life and be witness to all that you are, in Jesus’ name, Amen. Thanks & Praise, Right Where You Are

Today's Scripture Passage: Hebrews 12:28 28 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe. ...........................................................................................................Today’s Scripture Message: Thanksgiving extends long past the holiday. We have been gifted with one special day to remember the appreciation we have for the people, places and things around us. Imagine that appreciation everyday for the gifts we were granted. Imagine the enjoyment of the day extending throughout the year…Why not? A man told a story a couple of years ago about his Thanksgiving experience which went something like this: “The gas is off in my house, but thank you to my mother-in-law who came over with hot plates and “worked out” a GREAT meal.” With no regret, no reflection of the fact the stoves / heat weren’t working, no blame for the bill not being paid, no reflection of why they didn’t have…Just the utmost appreciation of the fact his family and holiday included a warm meal…It could have been different, but his household remained unshaken despite the circumstance. Start with Prayer, End with Thanks

Today’s Scripture Message: I woke up today not feeling 100% and couldn’t understand why I was not able to turn off the concerns of yesterday and simply focus on the beauty of what is right here, right now. I picked up my bible and just opened it and it opened to a note I’d written over a year ago to post at The Daily Covering and hadn’t, I am not really sure why I hadn’t but something kept me from doing so. I woke this morning asking if what I am doing is what I am to do as things are a little more trying than normal and my refuge is always in his word, it has never failed me. I am guessing a year ago I asked the same question and in that question came this prayer...........................................................................................................................................................................................................Today’s Prayer: Father, we pray that we open the ears of our heart and answer your call.
