Faithful, Not Feeling

 Today's Scripture Passage: Proverbs 24:14-20

19"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. 22"The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are good, your whole body will be full of light. 23But if your eyes are bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!
24"No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money.  25"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?

Today's Scripture Message:
"How can you be faithful to God without feeling faithful?" One of the best explanations for this came from Pastor Bill Winston who basically explained faith is not something you feel, it is an unconditional decision to take God at his word and do as he says according to his Word that you live and grow to expand his kingdom.  Emotions (feelings) add inflection of questions and that which you question, you doubt until you find evidence of it or proof supporting it, with faith there is no question so proof is unnecessary - it is what it is.  Today, may we pray with a special focus on leaders to guide our country with unwavering intention to treasure our Heavenly Father and His guidance through His Word. "For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also" - Matthew 6:21.  We pray that our leaders have unbreakable faith, the courage and conscience to steer us on a path of humble care for all God's children and lead our country with the  original intent of our founding fathers as "one nation, UNDER GOD, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all", in Jesus' Name, Amen.
