Today's Scripture Passage: Deuteronomy 8:18
18 But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your forefathers, as it is today.
Today's Scripture Message:
Sewing a seed in the kingdom of God and the fruit borne of it is more than a promise, it is covenant – kingdom law. Know that you are the seed of Abraham and the promises made to him are your inheritance. Serve as a seed, give of your talents as a seed, give of your income as a seed. Everyone has something they can do to forward the kingdom of God. Remember your hand should reach to help, lift & provide more than to receive. Keep in mind the ultimate gift Jesus gave for us, his blood, that we may be free.
Prayer for the day:
Father, help me keep my hand out to reach to lift others. Keep my heart willing to provide what is necessary to help, forgive and love, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
Thought for the day:
“Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tine ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, those ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance.”
~ Robert F. Kennedy
Goal for the Day:
Make a contribution and make it count.

Pastor Dickow’s Fast from Wrong Thinking
Revolution Day 27:
Today we’re fasting from the thought that says, “Someday I’ll succeed.” On the outside, this thought seems good; but it is a wrong way of thinking.
Let’s change it today:
1. YOU ARE A SUCCESS NOW! Success is not something you have; it’s something you are! Remember Genesis 39:2 says, “And Joseph was a successful man, for the Lord was with Him” (New American Standard Bible).
2. Remember, true success is God’s presence in your life. If you’re washed in the blood of Jesus, God’s presence is with you NOW. (Hebrews 10:19) Therefore, you are a true success NOW.
3. Rejoice today no matter what it looks like. Psalm 118:24 says, “This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.” Joy is the strength that manifests YOUR success.”
4. Live in the overflow of your meditation. Joshua 1:8 says AS you meditate on God’s Word day & night, it will produce the necessary action to make your way prosperous. FLOOD your mind with God’s promises today.
5. Take inventory. You have God’s Word which produces KNOWLEDGE. You have the Holy Spirit which produces UNDERSTANDING. And you have the power of prayer which produces WISDOM (James 1:5)—these are the ingredients for success—Exodus 31:3.
THINK IT & SAY IT:
I am a success NOW. God’s presence has made me successful; and I am in His presence NOW through the blood of Jesus! God has made this day for MY success, and His Word flowing from my life brings me victory and success in everything. I ask for and receive a supernatural supply of wisdom today to apply God’s Word in my situation, in Jesus’ Name!”
Daily Lenten Reflection from St. Michael of Old Town
Monday of the 4th Week of Lent
April 4, 2011
“…then Jesus said to him, “Unless you people see signs and wonders, you will by no means believe.”” (John. 4: 48)
There are few more rewarding callings in life than being a parent. This calling, however, as with most, comes with a price. The price of being a parent is being vulnerable to the world in ways unlike any you have experienced before. This vulnerability proceeds from the knowledge that one of the greatest wounds that can be inflicted upon you is the suffering of your child. Shortly before his first birthday, my firstborn son was stricken with a life-threatening illness. My initial reaction was fear and despair. Like the nobleman, at the time my son fell ill, I was separated from him by distance.
During my journey back to him, I was nearly inconsolable. It was inconceivable to me that I could lose the most precious gift in my life so soon. So, I turned to God and beseeched him to protect my son. Admittedly, I “bargained” with God. As most of us are, I was guilty of losing sight of the Lord until I really needed Him. Too often, I had simply assumed that He would always be there for me without thought to what I owed Him every day.
I firmly believe that the Lord saved my son through the hands of his doctors (I had “seen signs and wonders”) and that is one of the innumerable debts I owe to the Lord every day. Too often, we lose sight of the blessings we are granted each and every day by our loving Father, and need “signs and wonders” to remind us that true faith and true belief require continuous tending.

Lord, please watch over us and protect us and remind us that all we are is granted to us through your Grace. Help us to remember to give you the glory and praise due you every day in every hour, as we enjoy the many blessings you bestow upon us. Your mercy endures forever! Amen.
