Happy New Year!!!

Wishing All of You A Wonderfully Blessed & Prosperous 2011!!!

Faith In Action

Today's Scripture Passage: Numbers 23:19

19 God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind.  Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?.

Today's Scripture Message:

The Word of God and the promises within is your insurance policy. That all you require is done, if you speak it in his Word, act and believe in faith that it is so.  If our father meets you at your level of faith, where is your faith? At what level do you believe?  Our father says 9Now why dost thou cry out aloud? Is there no king I thee? Is thy counselor perished? … –Micah 4:9…NO our father lives within and through all of us who invite Him in. There is no prerequisite to make you eligible for a position in his kingdom accept that you chose to have faith in Him and His word. If everyone around you is telling you that something cannot happen, speak His word over that circumstance “Father, I believe you will remove all that is wrong in my life. I believe you to guide me to correction of my circumstance…In your word you say you will not leave me or forsake me, that my efforts will not return to me void, that if I have faith as small as a mustard seed, I can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for me (Matthew 17:20)...I take you at your Word, Father and know it is done”

Walk in that belief as if it has come to pass until it does.  Keep speaking the Word over your circumstances, if you are too tired to speak it say nothing and let the confirmation of your confession keep working on your behalf. YOU dictate to your circumstances, as a believer it does not dictate to you. Faith is the firm belief in something for which there is no proof, of things unseen and unheard of. SO WHAT you & no one else can see it, know what you know because your Father told you so and take comfort that there is no promise in his word that he will not fulfill.

Prayer for the Day:

Father, thank you for your Word and guidance. Thank you for filling my heart and soul with your presence that I can be all that you designed for my life.  I know I am not perfect, but am without stain in your eyes by the gift of the grace of our Savior. I praise you for your mercy and unconditional love of me that you cared for me so much that you kept calling me patiently awaiting my answer.  I have walked miles victoriously because of your love and protection and will joyously move forward all the days of my life as a witness to your presence within me, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

 Thought for the Day:

March on. Do not tarry. To go forward is to move toward perfection. March on, and fear not the thorns, or the sharp stones on life's path.
 Kahlil Gibran

Goal for the Day:
Lean from your lessons and continue your life education by fearlessly moving forward.

“You Were Heard”

Today's Scripture Passage: Isaiah 55:11

11So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

Today's Scripture Message:

As a parent, just when you think nothing you have said is being heard. Your children are older and grasping at their independence…truly feeling their way around and seemingly forgetting all that you have attempted to instill in them…then it happens…that day when everything seems to mesh. Reassuring you that all is not forgotten, they actually listened…as you lovingly remember the words of your parents “One day when you are a parent, you will understand.” And you smile, realizing YOU actually listened and did not forget.

No family is perfect, we all have our strengths and weaknesses, but we all have a critical role to play in that unit and the ability to lift ourselves to the standards laid out to us in our faith that our example lifts others is absolute, expected and a vital part of our existence.  Just when you think everything you’ve done this far has fallen on deaf ears, was forgotten or completely ignored…God shows up in all of those hearts around you, true to HIS Word, letting you know your efforts were not in vein…returning to you an abundance of happiness and joy that not only represents our Father in you, but honors your parents & their parents assuring the spirit of God resonates throughout the generations past, present and future.

Prayer for the Day:

Father, thank you for the gift of our savior, for your presence in my life, my family & friends, my church family, my prayer family and for the lives you touch through our example. May we continue reaching deeper within ourselves to elevate our walk with you that your legacy lives on forever through each and every one of us, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

 Thought for the Day:

“My goal is to live the truly religious life and express it through my music. If you live it, when you play it there is no problem because the music is a part of the whole thing. To be a musician is really something. It goes very, very deep. My music is the spiritual expression of what I am – my faith, my knowledge, my being”.
 John Coltrane

Goal for the Day:
Resolve to work on yourself and be the change you wish to see in others.

Continue to Work Towards Your Goal

Today's Scripture Passage: II Peter 1:1-10

1 Simon Peter, a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ, To those who through the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ have received a faith as precious as ours:  2 Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.
3 His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. 4 Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.
5 For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; 6 and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; 7 and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love. 8 For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 But whoever does not have them is nearsighted and blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their past sins.
10 Therefore, my brothers and sisters, make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble,

Today's Scripture Message:

As a new year approaches, as well as a renewed since of personal responsibility, we begin making our resolutions for improvement. We say what we’d like to do and many times forget the commitment we’d made for self improvement as it is swept up in the dust of our daily routines.  Every day presents an opportunity to take a step forward.  Every minute the opportunity to make a sound decision. Every second the opportunity to do something differently to obtain that desired result.  We have  become as a whole people of immediate gratification where the damages our lives have seen did not occur overnight yet we expect the resolution at a seconds notice and because you cannot physically see an immediate effect, you turn away or give up.  Your motion is always upward, remain focused, press on and see it through to your breakthrough…learning, loving, sharing and enjoying living as you continue forward.

Prayer for the Day:

Father, giving honor and praise to you ask according to your word, that you “add to my faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; 6 and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; 7 and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love. 8 For if I possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep me from being ineffective and unproductive in my knowledge of my Lord Jesus Christ…that I never forget that I have been cleansed from my past sins and make every effort to confirm my calling and election knowing if I do these things, I will never stumble. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

 Thought for the Day:

“All changes, even the most longed for, have their melancholy; for what we leave behind us is a part of ourselves; we must die to one life before we can enter another.”
                                       – Anatole France

Goal for the Day:
Organize what must be accomplished, get to work and get it done, then begin again.

For My Eyes Have Seen Your Salvation

Today's Scripture Passage: Luke 2:21-30

“22 When the time came for the purification rites required by the Law of Moses, Joseph and Mary took him to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord 23 (as it is written in the Law of the Lord, “Every firstborn male is to be consecrated to the Lord”), 24 and to offer a sacrifice in keeping with what is said in the Law of the Lord: “a pair of doves or two young pigeons.”

25 Now there was a man in Jerusalem called Simeon, who was righteous and devout. He was waiting for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was on him. 26 It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not die before he had seen the Lord’s Messiah. 27 Moved by the Spirit, he went into the temple courts. When the parents brought in the child Jesus to do for him what the custom of the Law required, 28 Simeon took him in his arms and praised God, saying:

29 “Sovereign Lord, as you have promised, you may now dismiss your servant in peace. 30 For my eyes have seen your salvation, …”

Glory to God in the Highest Heaven, and On Earth Peace

Today's Scripture Passage: Luke 2:11-20

11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. 12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”
13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,

14 “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”
15 When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.”

16 So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. 17 When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, 18 and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. 19 But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. 20 The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.
