Decide

Today's Scripture Passage: I Corinthians 10:13

¹³ No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

Today’s Scripture Message:

Everyone has the capacity for greatness or mediocrity, the temptation of good or bad, right or wrong and sometimes you are placed in a position when only you and your Father know the righteousness of your heart…it is your duty to prove others incorrect; or your responsibility to stand firmly on the righteousness of the truth and allow it to represent you? Protect your hearts from hate and vengeance as they do not belong to you. Instead, grab your ax and chop away at the truck of the tree of the deficiencies that allowed your placement in your circumstance ensuring the lesson of that experience will no longer be suffered by others.  The past is a novel already on the shelf, but the future is still a blank page eagerly awaiting the next chapter.  The author, you…the pen, held in your hand, how will you choose to write it? Who will you choose as your mentor?

Refuse to Be Moved

Today's Scripture Passage: Psalm 147:1-7

^{28 1} Praise the LORD. How good it is to sing praises to our God, how pleasant and fitting to praise him!  ² The LORD builds up Jerusalem; he gathers the exiles of Israel. ³ He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. ⁴ He determines the number of the stars and calls them each by name. ⁵ Great is our Lord and mighty in power; his understanding has no limit. ⁶ The LORD sustains the humble but casts the wicked to the ground. ⁷ Sing to the LORD with grateful praise; make music to our God on the harp.

Today’s Scripture Message:

In our lives there are things that will come against us with the intent of steering us in the wrong direction.  Refuse to be moved by the combative force that is put in your way to keep you from His kingdom and that which is purposed for you. Speak His word over your circumstances and praise Him with everything in you, declining to allow any upset in the joy you have in the knowledge you’ve been granted.  You can’t change, nor control another person. The only changes you can manage are the ones you make within yourself.  Own the greater intent of your heart and action and allow all it’s place in the capable hands of God, knowing your circumstances are well tended.

Every Day is a Celebration

Today's Scripture Passage: Hebrews 12:28

²⁸ Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe.


Today’s Scripture Message:

Thanksgiving extends long past the holiday. We have been gifted with one special day to remember the appreciation we have for the people, places and things around us.  Imagine that appreciation everyday for the gifts we were granted.  Imagine the enjoyment of the day extending throughout the year…Why not? I heard a man say yesterday “The gas is off in my house, but thank you to my mother-in-law who came over with hot plates and “worked out” a GREAT meal.”  With no regret, no reflection of the fact the stoves / heat weren’t working, no blame for the bill not being paid, no reflection of why they didn’t have…Just the utmost appreciation of the fact his family and holiday included a warm meal…It could have been different, but his household remained unshaken despite the circumstance.  If we viewed our homes as the unbreakable kingdom of God, the unified front in respect of what we have and use that to maintain and grow imagine the world from the view of our doorsteps.

The Guidance of Truth

Today's Scripture Passage: John 16:8-13

⁸ When he comes, he will prove the world to be in the wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment: ⁹ about sin, because people do not believe in me; ¹⁰ about righteousness, because I am going to the Father, where you can see me no longer; ¹¹ and about judgment, because the prince of this world now stands condemned. 

   ¹² “I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. ¹³ But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.

Today’s Scripture Message:

     Truth though allowed to be misconstrued and misinterpreted and spun into many different webs of confusion, in its simplest form is just that, truth.  A humbled heart is the gateway to the openness of basic truth.  With that foundation greatness is stably formed and protection of that truth is inevitable. Humbly seek the guidance of the truth of the Word of God it is unfailing…and faithfully receive and move forward in reverence of the response received.

Extend A Hand In Love

Today's Scripture Passage: John 4:7-16

 ⁷ Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God. ⁸ But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love.  ⁹ God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. ¹⁰ This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.

 ¹¹ Dear friends, since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other. ¹² No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love is brought to full expression in us.  ¹³ And God has given us his Spirit as proof that we live in him and he in us. ¹⁴ Furthermore, we have seen with our own eyes and now testify that the Father sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. ¹⁵ All who confess that Jesus is the Son of God have God living in them, and they live in God. ¹⁶ We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in his love.

Today’s Scripture Message:

     How often do you see someone who could use your help?  How often does an opportunity to return some of the blessings you’ve received come along…every time you have in your ability to effect the circumstance.  See past the condition and envision the heart.  Find a creative way to lend a hand according to what is in your grasp to do.  Love, unconditionally and own the intent of your heart, not the intent of the hearts of others.  In all you do, remember the sacrifice grace has offered you and pass it on, in this the gratitude of our salvation in Jesus Christ our Savior is never forgotten and remains as prevalent today as it was in the past guaranteeing a permanent place in the future.
