Stand

 

Today's Scripture Passage: Psalm 27:14

¹⁴ Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.

Today's Scripture Message:

If you have planted the seed in fertile soil; in a place where there is plenty of sunlight and watered it daily it will sprout and grow from a seed to its intended fruition.  While you have done all that you were supposed to do, responsibly caring for and putting forth your best effort…quiet your heart and wait in joy and peace. Nothing done in righteousness is ever in vein. Lift up your heart and remove the burden of that completed task and allow it the sun it needs to grow. Our Father is an unfailing God and allow His will to be done.

Prayer for the day:

Father, thank you for this day!  I stand before you broken and tired but know you are there with me, providing me the strength I need to do as I am supposed to, all to your glory. My heart is for you that all you require of me is done to the best of my ability and I will continue to do so, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

The Same Yesterday, Today & Forever

 

Today's Scripture Passage: Matthew 6:9-13

⁹In this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name. ¹⁰Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in Heaven. ¹¹Give us this day our daily bread. ¹²And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. ¹³And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the Kingdom, and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

Today's Scripture Message:

When I think of “The Lord’s Prayer” I think of its completeness and what it means to me. My Father in Heaven how glorious, how wonderful is your name. Your kingdom here with me. Your will, not mine that heaven is the earth that I see. Supply my needs and forgive my missteps as I forgive those of others. Keep temptation away and remove me from anything that is not of you. Your kingdom, your power and all glory is yours in all that I am and will be. Amen.  This simple prayer as prevalent today as it was when I first learned it more than 30 years ago. My greatest appreciation for the Word of God is exactly what it means to me. How no matter what circumstance, there is support & relevant guidance as if it was scripted just for me in that moment and has trained me always look towards the heavens with my questions and fall back on His Word for knowledgeable understanding. In that, though I am not perfect, I am never far off course appreciatively thanking God for it all.

Why & What

Today's Scripture Passage: Philippians 4:6-7

⁶ Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. ⁷ And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Today's Scripture Message:

I love to think of God not only as my Heavenly Father, but as my very best friend. That ear of wisdom that hears all that I say and sees all that I do. That no matter what, He is listening and shaping my path that my steps fall exactly as intended according to my need and His need of me.  I am comforted as things occur around me and instead of asking why, I ask what?

You remember a time when you were out with your friends and you said or did something that sparked your friend to give you “that look” and the first thing that came out of your mouth was “what?”. You didn’t exactly understand why they were giving you their best “STOP IT glare” and needed to understand what you were doing that awarded you that silent but well felt “I disagree with you” look.  To ask “what?” always invited a lesson which led to the “why”. As it is with God, in all that I face, in all that is happening around me I ask “what” that it be revealed exactly that which I am to see so that my decision/action is unmistakably within His will.  Nothing I ask of him, glory to God is unheard, regardless of how great or how small. Begin with what? And He will show you Why?

Prayer for the day:

Father, in your grace and mercy direct me always to you. In good and bad times, rough and easy moments, times of confidence as well as  insecurity…help me to seek you first in every step I take, that all I think, say and do are within Your will,  in Jesus’ name, Amen.

National Day of Prayer

 

Today's Scripture Passage: Matthew 18:19-20

¹⁹ “Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. ²⁰ For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”

Today's Scripture Message:

During this time of turmoil throughout the world if we could all join together in a prayer of unity and covering over our lives, the lives of our families and friends, neighbors – next door, next state, next country, that we may humble ourselves enough to know each life is accounted for equally in the eyes and heart of our Father.

Prayer for the day:

Father, I come before you asking that our faith be strengthened and our care for others elevated that each heart overflows abundantly with love and respect of life so we continue to reach to solve more than to dilute the problems we all face on a daily basis. To all we ask that peace, love, respect, honor, knowledge and reverence fill our days and overflow to all who we encounter. A special prayer for our world leaders that they govern in integrity and a manner reflective of all who they have sworn to represent, in Jesus’ name, Amen
