In Him,You are in Great Hands

Today’s Scripture Focus: Numbers 23:19 (NIV)

19 God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?.

Today’s Scripture Message:

The Word of God and the promises within is your insurance policy. That all you require is done, if you speak it in his Word and believe in faith that it is so. If our father meets you at your level of faith, where is your faith? At what level do you believe? Our father says 9Now why dost thou cry out aloud? Is there no king I thee? Is thy counselor perished? … –Micah 4:9…NO our father lives within and through all of us who invite Him in. There is no prerequisite to make you eligible for a position in his kingdom accept that you chose to have faith in Him and His word. If everyone around you is telling you that something can not happen, speak His word over that circumstance “Father, I believe you will remove all that is wrong in my life. I believe you to guide me to correction of my circumstance…I believe that house at 123 ABC street is mine…In your word you say you will not leave me or forsake me, that my efforts will not return to me void, that if I have faith as small as a mustard seed, I can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for me (Matthew 17:20)...I take you at your Word, Father and know it is done” Walk in that belief as if it has come to pass until it does. Keep speaking the Word over your circumstances, if you are too tired to speak it say nothing and let the confirmation of your confession keep working on your behalf. YOU dictate to your circumstances, as a believer it does not dictate to you. Faith is the firm belief in something for which there is no proof, of things unseen and unheard of. SO WHAT you & no one else can see it, know what you know because your Father told you so and take comfort that there is no promise in his word that he will not fulfill.

Prayer for the day:

Father, thank you for your Word and guidance. Thank you for filling my heart and soul with your presence that I can be all that you designed for my life. I know I am not perfect, but am without stain in your eyes by the gift of the grace of our Savior. I praise you for your mercy and unconditional love of me that you cared for me so much that you kept calling me patiently awaiting my answer. I have walked miles victoriously because of your love and protection and will joyously move forward all the days of my life as a witness to your presence within me, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Thought for the day:

March on. Do not tarry. To go forward is to move toward perfection. March on, and fear not the thorns, or the sharp stones on life's path.- Kahlil Gibran

Goal for the Day:

Keep moving forward toward your goals. Don’t look back.

New Years Prayer Covering: Ephesians 1:16-23

Today's Scripture Focus: Ephesians 1:16-23

"16I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers. 17I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirita]">[a] of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. 18I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, 19and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of his mighty strength, 20which he exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, 21far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. 22And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, 23which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way." May the New Year exceed our expectations, in Jesus' Name, Amen.

Your Daily Devotional

I was reminded of a prayer message we’d done not long ago about speaking the word over your circumstances and feeding your faith. I heard a wonderful message about replenishing the word that directly speaks to your circumstance and had to share it. The analogy that was given was “As you feed your flesh with food and water, you should feed your spirit with the Word of God daily”. One of the best ways to do this is to choose the Scripture passages that speak directly to all aspects of your circumstance and create a devotional that meets your eyes and touches your spirit daily as a resource solidifying the covering you have spoken over your direct circumstance. Everything you do as a part of your routine becomes habitual. Make your devotional part of your morning routine as a means to keep you focused on the things you expect to materialize within your existence. You can hear all of the sermons you like, pray all of the prayers you chose, none will come to past without you acting within the word and increasing your faith. I posted a comment recently reflecting a quote which was very powerful which stated "God will meet you at the level of your faith" - Bill Winston…so if your faith is minimal, your expectation is minimal and your blessing at the level of your expectation, but, if your faith exceeds anything you could imagine, your expectation set at the bar of heaven then your blessing again will manifest at the level of your expectation. Know your worth…it is the difference between a dollar & a million. No one can see you for more than you see yourself as. Stand tall in your royal, heavenly heritage and again I say know WHO you are & WHO’s you are.

Today’s Scripture Message: Acts 20:32 (NIV)

32"Now I commit you to God and to the word of his grace, which can build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.

Prayer for the day:

Father, may the hunger of my spirit for your word be greater than any fleshly need. As I go through my day may your words play unceasingly in my heart and reflect in my walk with you, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Thought for the day:

“Discipline is the refining fire by which talent becomes ability.”. – Royal L. Smith

Goal for the Day:

Take the time to find the scripture passages that cover the expectation(s) of your heart, jot them down and when you wake up every morning, meditate on those passages/incorporate them into your daily routine.

Word for Today from Vandy

by Vandy Harris

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

"And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness…"
(Romans 8:26 NLT)

TODAY'S WORD

Sometimes, people get distracted by what they consider to be a disadvantage or weakness in their lives. It may be something about their personality or looks that they don't like. Or maybe they've been through an unfair situation: a divorce, a bad business deal, or a bad break. We all have things that can feel like disadvantages; things that make it harder on us. It may even be a physical handicap where you can't get around like you used to.

But just because you have a "disadvantage," just because you've been through a tough time, doesn't mean you're supposed to sit back and settle where you are. God still has something great for you to do! He wants to show Himself strong in and through you. The Holy Spirit wants to help you when you feel weak. If you will stay in faith and not get negative toward yourself or your future, then God can take what you think is a liability and turn it into an asset. What you think is a disadvantage God will turn around to be an advantage so you can move forward into the abundant life He has for you!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

"Father in heaven, today I give You all that I am. I invite You into the weak places in my life so that You can turn them into strengths. Thank You for working in my life and filling me with faith and expectancy. In Jesus' Name, Amen."

Live Victoriously

I had a wonderful conversation with a dear old friend and the one thing that resonated for me was the resilience within each of us to cling to the promises of the Word of God and continue on. Life for many of us has not been a cake walk at all. The blessing, we are still here, unchanged by our circumstances except for a greater understanding of the favor shown us through it all. It is easy to sink in the quicksand of all that is hurled at you, but if you do all you can to stand firm holding on to the knowledge of our father within you he will bring you through, no matter what, all he needs you to do is move in faith.

Today’s Scripture Message: Micah 4:9-10 (King James Version)

9Now why dost thou cry out aloud? Is there no king I thee? Is thy counselor perished? For pangs have taken thee as a woman in travail. 10Be in pain and labour to bring forth, O daughter of Zion, like a woman in travail for now shalt thou go forth out of the city and thou shalt dwell in the field, and thou shalt go even to Babylon; there shalt thou be delivered; there the Lord shall redeem thee from the hand of thine enemies.

Prayer for the day:

Father, despite all that is exploding around me, I remain focused on you. I will move fearlessly in faith towards that what you will me to do. I will not change my heart nor remove your promises I know in faith victory is mine, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Thought for the day:

“Victory is won not in miles but in inches. Win a little now, hold your ground, and later, win a little more.”

Goal for the Day:

Word for Today from Vandy

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

"May He give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed"
(Psalm 20:4, NIV)

TODAY'S WORD

The Bible tells us that true faith has actions with it. A lot of times people say they believe one way, but with their actions, they're doing just the opposite. We have to understand that faith will work in either direction. I know some people make plans to get the flu. They talk about it and say, "Every year I get the flu." Or, "It's going to be bad this year." They expect it and a few months later, they've got it. Their faith worked. They believed, they expected, they made plans, and they got it. But instead of making plans for the worst, why don't you make plans for the best. Why don't you make plans for the Word of God to come to pass in your life? The scripture says, "No weapon formed against us is going to prosper." "A thousand may fall at my side, ten thousand at my right hand; but it will not come near my dwelling."

Today, make plans according to the Word of God. As you make right plans, you'll see right things come to pass in your life. You'll rise up higher and enjoy the blessings God has in store for you!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

"Father God, I confess that I need You today. Search my heart. Help me see any area where my faith is working in the wrong direction. I desire to make plans in agreement with You so that I can partake of the good things You have in store for me. In Jesus' Name, Amen."

Every morning you can set the tone for your day? When you put God first and decide to go out with a grateful attitude and a positive frame of mind, you'll feel better and draw in the good things of God. You are paving the way for success and victory. If you get up thinking, “life sucks. Nothing good ever happens to me,...” then you are going to attract defeat, failure, and mediocrity.-JO

Press On, Your Efforts Are Not In Vein

This Christmas I was drawn to “the little things with big meanings”. My oldest & youngest daughter, who most of the time were like oil & water were as soothing to the spirit as John Coltrane. My son, who would normally with something new, monopolize any electronic equipment in the house, stepped back and shared not just his space but all spaces without being angry or intentionally irritating to his sister and god brother. They set tables, did dishes (without being asked & not just a plate or two…all of them…pots included). The little ones took their allowance and bought gifts for everyone, not holding on to the majority to buy something for themselves. The oldest one’s thought and care of the gifts she purchased resonated more than the actual gift itself. My heart beat to a different rhythm as I prepared our Christmas pot of Gumbo from my Great, Great Grandmother’s recipe knowing if Gaga (my grandmother) was here this would have been the pot she’d have told me “Ok, Kay, you make the Gumbo from now on”. To cap it off, our church service on Sunday was about the “gift of family” and the goodness of our family unit, reassuring me my true present was, is and always will be the presence of God in my family and the love we have for one another. Not always easy, but always worth while.

No family is perfect, we all have our strengths and weaknesses, but we all have a critical role to play in that unit and the ability to lift ourselves to the standards laid out to us in our faith that our example lifts others is absolute, expected and a vital part of our existence. Just when you think everything you’ve done this far has fallen on deaf ears, was forgotten or completely ignored…God shows up in all of those hearts around you, true to HIS Word, letting you know your efforts were not in vein…returning to you an abundance of happiness and joy that not only represents our Father in you, but in your parents & their parents.

Today’s Scripture Message: Isaiah 55:11 (King James Version)
11So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

Prayer for the day:
Father, thank you for the gift of our savior, for your presence in my life, my family & friends, my church family, my prayer family and for the lives you touch through our example. May we continue reaching deeper within ourselves to elevate our walk with you that your legacy lives on forever through each and every one of us, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Thought for the day:
“My goal is to live the truly religious life and express it through my music. If you live it, when you play it there is no problem because the music is a part of the whole thing. To be a musician is really something. It goes very, very deep. My music is the spiritual expression of what I am – my faith, my knowledge, my being”. – John Coltrane

Goal for the Day:
Resolve to work on yourself and be the change you wish to see in others.

The Christmas Story

Luke 1

26 In the sixth month, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee,

27 to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin's name was Mary.

28 The angel went to her and said, "Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you."

29 Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be.

30 But the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God.

31 You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus.

32 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David,

33 and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever; his kingdom will never end."

34 "How will this be," Mary asked the angel, "since I am a virgin?"

35 The angel answered, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God.

36 Even Elizabeth your relative is going to have a child in her old age, and she who was said to be barren is in her sixth month.

37 For nothing is impossible with God."

38 "I am the Lord's servant," Mary answered. "May it be to me as you have said." Then the angel left her.

39 At that time Mary got ready and hurried to a town in the hill country of Judea,

40 where she entered Zechariah's home and greeted Elizabeth.

41 When Elizabeth heard Mary's greeting, the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.

42 In a loud voice she exclaimed: "Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the child you will bear!

43 But why am I so favored, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?

44 As soon as the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for joy.

45 Blessed is she who has believed that what the Lord has said to her will be accomplished!"

46 And Mary said: "My soul glorifies the Lord

47 and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,

48 for he has been mindful of the humble state of his servant. From now on all generations will call me blessed,

49 for the Mighty One has done great things for me-- holy is his name.

50 His mercy extends to those who fear him, from generation to generation.

51 He has performed mighty deeds with his arm; he has scattered those who are proud in their inmost thoughts.

52 He has brought down rulers from their thrones but has lifted up the humble.

53 He has filled the hungry with good things but has sent the rich away empty.

54 He has helped his servant Israel, remembering to be merciful

55 to Abraham and his descendants forever, even as he said to our fathers."

56 Mary stayed with Elizabeth for about three months and then returned home.

Matthew 1

18This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit.

19 Because Joseph her husband was a righteous man and did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly.

20 But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, "Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.

21 She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins."

22 All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet:

23 "The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel" --which means, "God with us."

24 When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife.

25 But he had no union with her until she gave birth to a son. And he gave him the name Jesus.

Luke 2:

1 In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world.

2 (This was the first census that took place while Quirinius was governor of Syria.)

3 And everyone went to his own town to register.

4 So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David.

5 He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child.

6 While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born,

7 and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.

8 And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night.

9 An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified.

10 But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.

11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord.

12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger."

13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,

14 "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests."

15 When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, "Let's go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about."

16 So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger.

17 When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child,

18 and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them.

19 But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart.

20 The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.

21 On the eighth day, when it was time to circumcise him, he was named Jesus, the name the angel had given him before he had been conceived.

22 When the time of their purification according to the Law of Moses had been completed, Joseph and Mary took him to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord

23 (as it is written in the Law of the Lord, "Every firstborn male is to be consecrated to the Lord" ),

24 and to offer a sacrifice in keeping with what is said in the Law of the Lord: "a pair of doves or two young pigeons."

25 Now there was a man in Jerusalem called Simeon, who was righteous and devout. He was waiting for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him.

26 It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not die before he had seen the Lord's Christ.

27 Moved by the Spirit, he went into the temple courts. When the parents brought in the child Jesus to do for him what the custom of the Law required,

28 Simeon took him in his arms and praised God, saying:

29 "Sovereign Lord, as you have promised, you now dismiss your servant in peace.

30 For my eyes have seen your salvation,

31 which you have prepared in the sight of all people,

32 a light for revelation to the Gentiles and for glory to your people Israel."

33 The child's father and mother marveled at what was said about him.

34 Then Simeon blessed them and said to Mary, his mother: "This child is destined to cause the falling and rising of many in Israel, and to be a sign that will be spoken against,

35 so that the thoughts of many hearts will be revealed. And a sword will pierce your own soul too."

36 There was also a prophetess, Anna, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was very old; she had lived with her husband seven years after her marriage,

37 and then was a widow until she was eighty-four. She never left the temple but worshiped night and day, fasting and praying.

38 Coming up to them at that very moment, she gave thanks to God and spoke about the child to all who were looking forward to the redemption of Jerusalem.

39 When Joseph and Mary had done everything required by the Law of the Lord, they returned to Galilee to their own town of Nazareth.

Matthew 2

1 After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem

2 and asked, "Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star in the east and have come to worship him."

3 When King Herod heard this he was disturbed, and all Jerusalem with him.

4 When he had called together all the people's chief priests and teachers of the law, he asked them where the Christ was to be born.

5 "In Bethlehem in Judea," they replied, "for this is what the prophet has written:

6 "`But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for out of you will come a ruler who will be the shepherd of my people Israel.´"

7 Then Herod called the Magi secretly and found out from them the exact time the star had appeared.

8 He sent them to Bethlehem and said, "Go and make a careful search for the child. As soon as you find him, report to me, so that I too may go and worship him."

9 After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen in the east went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was.

10 When they saw the star, they were overjoyed.

11 On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold and of incense and of myrrh.

12 And having been warned in a dream not to go back to Herod, they returned to their country by another route.

13 When they had gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. "Get up," he said, "take the child and his mother and escape to Egypt. Stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to search for the child to kill him."

14 So he got up, took the child and his mother during the night and left for Egypt,

15 where he stayed until the death of Herod. And so was fulfilled what the Lord had said through the prophet: "Out of Egypt I called my son."

16 When Herod realized that he had been outwitted by the Magi, he was furious, and he gave orders to kill all the boys in Bethlehem and its vicinity who were two years old and under, in accordance with the time he had learned from the Magi.

We wish you all a Very, Merry Christmas!!!

Be Overjoyed, It Is Written

My heart leaps knowing His Word is concrete. The more I read, the more I hear, the more I want to tell someone about it. I am excited knowing the grace my life is placed under. Humbled at the fact that I am just a speck of dust in the eye of God, one of many but favored beyond my understanding, as are all of us who accept Christ as our Savior. Sons & Daughters of our King, know your heritage!!! Come as you are to the throne of God. He sees you, not for who you are to yourself in this moment, but who you are intended to be according to His purpose for your life. The greatness in you is the spirit of our Lord, if you invite him in your life and believe His word as truth.

Scripture of the Day: Isaiah 54;14-17

14 In righteousness you will be established: Tyranny will be far from you;
you will have nothing to fear. Terror will be far removed; it will not come near you.

15 If anyone does attack you, it will not be my doing;
whoever attacks you will surrender to you.

16 "See, it is I who created the blacksmith who fans the coals into flame and forges a weapon fit for its work. And it is I who have created the destroyer to work havoc;

17 no weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and this is their vindication from me," declares the LORD.

Prayer for the Day:

Father, I take you at your word and know your word is the only Truth there is. I fall at your feet and humbly answer your call. I come as I am knowing you are the greatness that will move me to the point of your choosing. I accept and praise you, in Jesus' Name, Amen

One of the most important keys to self-motivation is to clearly identify your core values in life……we must decide what matters most to us…Many people think….I know what's important and I don't need a list to remind me….. What they don't fully understand is that those core values will often serve as critical guides for... making important decisions in the day….Good Day

Word for Today from Vandy
by Vandy Harris
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

"And He said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness'"
(II Corinthians 12:9, NKJ)

TODAY'S WORD

We all go through seasons of difficulty that can sometimes feel overwhelming. But during these times, we have to remember that Almighty God is greater than the struggle we face! He'll take those challenges and use them to strengthen us, but we have to do our part and get into agreement with Him.

Think about the caterpillar before it becomes a butterfly. When it's wrapped in its cocoon in the dark on the backside of some tree, it doesn't look like it has many options. But after it becomes a butterfly, it doesn't just sit waiting for someone to come and drill a hole and let it out. No! That butterfly knows that it has to make a move if it's going to be set free to fly. In the same way, we have to do something to get out of the confining places we are in. We have to pray, we have to believe, and keep pressing through to victory.

Today, no matter what you may be facing, remember His grace is sufficient for you. His strength is made perfect in you. Keep believing, keep praying, keep hoping, and keep pressing through. Before long, you'll break free and rise to the new levels of victory God has prepared for you.

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

"Heavenly Father, thank You for the strength to make it through any challenge I may face. I choose to put my trust in You. I declare that You are good and thank You for working behind the scenes on my behalf. In Jesus' Name. Amen."

Who Resides In You?

We are all human (mind, body & spirit) & as brothers & sisters in Christ (faithful). The Word of God is the Spirit of God and his intention for each of our lives. We all are spiritually inhabited. What is the state of the spirit that dwells within you? I reiterate, God will not go where he is not invited. For him to take residence in your life, in your community, in your environment he must be welcomed into it. Just as an invited friend coming to stay with you for a while, you get to know his/her likes & dislikes so their stay will be comfortable and accommodating…same with our Lord, to know him is to know His Word. To love Him is to have faith in His Word. To honor him is to emulate his Word and share it with others. LET HIM IN!!! Be that vessel; that spiritual representation of our Father that walks in your community. He will show up & show OUT!!! LET HIM IN, let him in. The confessions of your faith in His Word will cover your life, your family, your community, your city, your state, your world; KNOW IT IS SO and that His spoken word will not return to you void. Invite him to reside in you.

Scripture of the Day: Isaiah 55;10-11

10 As the rain and the snow
come down from heaven,
and do not return to it
without watering the earth
and making it bud and flourish,
so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater,

11 so is my word that goes out from my mouth:
It will not return to me empty,
but will accomplish what I desire
and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

Prayer for the Day:

Father I thank you and praise you for the knowledge of your Word and ever unfailing presence in my life. I let you in and you have not failed me. Thank you for the lessons you have shown me and the victory in each of them. I am stronger, faithful and humbled by your presence in my life, me…who am I that I deserved all that you are. My God, I lift you up and give you all of the praise and glory. I know I am nothing without you and everything with you, in Jesus' Name, Amen

I believe that only a relationship with Jesus Christ will truly give hope to the hopeless. That's why I'm so excited about the opportunities that God has given us to share His Word. "For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and... marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart." (Hebrews 4:12)

Word for Today from Vandy

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

"They turned back and tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel"
(Psalm 78:41, KJV)

TODAY'S WORD

We serve a God of increase! He wants to do new things in our lives. We should always be rising to new levels, but it's so easy to get stuck in a rut and just settle for the status quo. Sometimes we think, "Well, I've reached my limits. I've gone as far as I can go. This is as happy as I'll ever be." But if we're going to continue to increase and really experience God's best, we have to get our thinking lined up with God's thinking.

It's interesting that in this scripture the people limited the Holy One of Israel. Think about that. How can the all-powerful God, the Creator of the Universe, be limited? By our thinking. He can be limited in our lives by what we believe. A lot of people don't realize today it's their own wrong thinking that's keeping them in mediocrity.

Today, take the limits off by choosing to believe God. Feed your faith by studying His Word. As you meditate on His promises with an open and humble heart, you'll see Him move mightily in your life, and you will experience the blessings He has prepared for you!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

"Father God, today I choose to believe You. I take the limits off by trusting that You have good plans for my future. I invite You to search my heart and remove anything that isn't pleasing to You. I bless You today and always. In Jesus' Name. Amen. "

The Daily Covering - Post

Word for Today from Vandy
by Vandy Harris

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

"What if some did not believe? Shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?"
(Romans 3:3, KJV)

TODAY'S WORD

Have the opinions of others caused you to water down your dreams? There will always be critics and naysayers in life. One of the most important things you can learn is that other people don't have to believe in you in order for your dreams to come to pass. Other people don't set the limits for your life–you do. It's not what others say about you that affects your life, but what you say and believe about yourself. In today's verse, the Apostle Paul is saying, "It doesn't matter if other people don't believe. Their unbelief is not going to keep me from believing in my dreams." When God puts a promise in your heart, it's not up to other people to bring it to pass, it's up to you! You don't need everyone to validate you. You have to follow the voice of God for yourself and allow Him to order your steps.

Friend, God sees the hidden treasures inside of you. He wants to bring those treasures out and make your dreams reality! As you get rid of the old defeated thoughts and replace them with what God says about you, you will remove the limits and live the abundant life God has in store for you!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

"Heavenly Father, thank You for another day to see Your goodness in my life. Help me to see myself the way You see me. Help me to see the plans You have for me so that I can be empowered by You to fulfill my destiny. I love You and bless Your name today. In Jesus' Name. Amen"

Dictate To Your Circumstance

There is NO circumstance that you face that can not be handled, as God wills. God does not test you with evil, it is beneath Him, already defeated. His word states: "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. Matthew 7:7” Not maybe it will…IT WILL, but he will not enter a place where He is not welcomed. Invite God in. Speak His word over your circumstance. My father does not lie!!! His Word IS his promises and his promise to us as believers in Christ IS (not maybe) IS Yeah & Amen. Come out of your LUKE WARM water and catch this fire!!! May it burn in you and allow NO Man to turn you from it!!! From this moment forward may the promises of God be NOW & ALWAYS ….TRUTH.

Scripture of the Day: II Corinthians 1:20

20For no matter how many promises God has made, they are "Yes" in Christ. And so through him the "Amen" is spoken by us to the glory of God.

Prayer for the Day:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hollowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven, give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, for thine is the kingdom, the power, the glory are yours, now & forever, in Jesus' Name, Amen

Thought for the day:

“Could we change our attitude, we should not only see life differently, but life itself would come to be different. Life would undergo a change of appearance because we ourselves had undergone a change in attitude. –Katherine Mansfield

Goal for the Day:

Ask, and know it is done.

"Change the Course of Your Words, Change the Course of Your Life"

Your tongue has power which is as sharp as a sword. Know his word, believe in the promises of that word and as much as you can, focus on His word before you speak. The hardest of times to do this is during an emotionally provoked situation. May your first thought be, “What would God Say to this?”, May your first action be to seek his word & then speak it over the circumstance & May your witness be “ I stand firm on the promises of your word & know it is done” If your words have put you in a bad position, know your words according to His word can take you out. We serve a God who will never leave us or forsake us. Who’s promises are “If you can believe, all things are possible to him that believeth” NOT some things, NOT 1 thing now and maybe one later, ALL THINGS. Stand firm on his word and cover your existence with His Words, chose them carefully as they are a reflection of your spirit and put in your existence the power of positive speech according to His guiding word & watch his word in your words move mountains.

Scripture of the Day: James 3:2-5
2We all stumble in many ways. If anyone is never at fault in what he says, he is a perfect man, able to keep his whole body in check. 3When we put bits into the mouths of horses to make them obey us, we can turn the whole animal. 4Or take ships as an example. Although they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are steered by a very small rudder wherever the pilot wants to go. 5Likewise the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark.

Prayer for the Day:
Father, control my tongue, that all I speak is guided only by your word. Help me to separate my emotions at all times that I focus on you and not my circumstance, good, bad or indifferent. That I am reverent of my language and my tongue be a witness of the strength and power of your existence within me always, in Jesus' Name, Amen

Thought for the day:
“The world is a looking glass and gives back to every man the reflection of his own face. Frown at it, and it will in turn look sourly upon you; laugh at it and with it, and it is a jolly, kind companion. –William Makepeace Thackeray

Goal for the Day:
Find the passage of scripture that relates to your current circumstance, read it out loud & meditate on it.

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

"I know all the things you do, and I have opened a door for you that no one can close"
(Revelation 3:8, NLT)

TODAY'S WORD

I believe that God is ready to present you with new opportunities. He wants to open new doors before you. It doesn’t matter what’s happening in the world around you, God’s Word remains true!

Remember, in an instant, God can bring the right people into your life, the right opportunities, and the right resources to take you to a whole new level. But in order to go to a higher level, you have to have a higher way of thinking. You can’t allow worry and fear to fill your thoughts because fear actually blocks the door of God’s blessing. Instead, fill your mind with the Word of God. Let His truth empower you because His ways are always higher than our ways; and I believe that even now, He is working behind the scenes on your behalf!

Today, choose to keep an attitude of faith and expectancy. Begin to thank Him for the opportunities that are just ahead for you. Shut the door on fear and let God lead you by His peace through the door of opportunity He has prepared for you!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

"Father in heaven, thank You for opening doors for me that no one can close. I believe that You are faithful, and You reward the people who seek after You. Fill me with Your peace and joy today as I learn to follow You in every area of my life. In Jesus’ Name. Amen."

Don't give up because things seem hard. You are closer than you think! You've invested so much and you never know, just a few more days of believing, a few more weeks of doing the right thing, a few months of staying in faith, and you could see that situation turn around. God is on your side! Keep standing and keep believing because you are closer than you think to fulfilling every desire He's placed inside of you!
