Sound Leadership

Today's Scripture Passage: I Peter 5:2

2 “Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, watching over them – not because you must” but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not pursuing dishonest gain, but eager to serve.”

Today’s Scripture Message:
Leadership in any measure is at its best when the reflection of that leadership mirrors the need and care of those whom it is responsible for.  It is not the continence of what could be gained by holding a higher position or in the emulation that position holds, but the willingness to serve those whom you are responsible for to the best of your ability that will always make a difference in the success or failure of those who lead.  Whatever your responsibility, as Christians, remember your representation of our Father and His Word.  “To whom much is given, much is required” – Luke 12:48. Whatever your responsibility, regarding those in your care, remember as Christians, who you represent and always advise and guide according to His unfailing Word.

 Thought for the Day:
“Leadership should be born out of the understanding of the needs of those who would be affected by it.”
Marian Anderson
Goal for the Day:
Trust the compass of the Word of God, it is and will always be a reliable source.
