Today's Scripture Passage: Psalm 147:1-7
28 1 Praise the LORD. How good it is to sing praises to our God, how pleasant and fitting to praise him! 2 The LORD builds up Jerusalem; he gathers the exiles of Israel. 3 He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. 4 He determines the number of the stars and calls them each by name. 5 Great is our Lord and mighty in power; his understanding has no limit. 6 The LORD sustains the humble but casts the wicked to the ground. 7 Sing to the LORD with grateful praise; make music to our God on the harp.
In our lives there are things that will come against us with the intent of steering us in the wrong direction. Refuse to be moved by the combative force that is put in your way to keep you from His kingdom and that which is purposed for you. Speak His word over your circumstances and praise Him with everything in you, declining to allow any upset in the joy you have in the knowledge you’ve been granted. You can’t change, nor control another person. The only changes you can manage are the ones you make within yourself. Own the greater intent of your heart and action and allow all it’s place in the capable hands of God, knowing your circumstances are well tended.
Thought for the Day:
“Every conquering temptation represents a new fund of moral energy. Every trial endured and weathered in the right spirit makes a soul nobler and stronger than it was before.”
– William Butler Yeats
Goal for the Day:
Keep a smile in your heart and allow it to surface.
