A WEEK OF PRAISE & THANKSGIVING

“Thank You, Two Simple Words, Together, 1 Great Expression”

We all have those people who no matter what are there for you, in your corner, just as you are, loving you… faults and all. That person who you can talk to about anything; who you know if you need something, and you ask, even if they don’t have it will do everything in their power to obtain it for you. Our Father in heaven is that ultimate source who puts these people in our lives. Thank God for loving you so much that he NEVER fails you & thank those pivotal people placed in your life by our Father for hearing the call and answering it. Many times we forget in our routines those unsung blessings all around us and though they are not looking for it, return the blessing and simply thank them, by doing so He is praised.

Scripture of the Day: Psalm 145:1-3

1I will extol You, my God, O King, and I will bless Your name forever and ever. 2Everyday I will bless You, and I will praise Your name forever and ever. 3Great is the Lord, and highly to be praised, and His greatness is unsearchable.

Prayer for the Day:
Father may my heart always be humbled, may my words ever be “Thank You” and “Praise You”. Help me to never forget your mercy and the fact that all that I am and will be is YOU manifested in me. May I indiscriminately recognize all those placed in my life as a source of your greatness and a support for me that I never take their kindness for granted and always remember to express my gratitude to them, by doing so I praise you. This day and everyday to YOU be the glory, in Jesus' Name, Amen

Thought for the day:
“The sweetest of all sounds is praise”. –Xenophon

Goal for the day:
Take the time to thank someone who may know, but needs to hear the words “Thank You”.

Word for Today from Vandy

Vandy Harris

"For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline"
(II Timothy 1:7, NLT)

So many people today are living with less than God's best because they've allowed fear to stop them from pursuing their dreams. We have to remember that fear is not from God. It's a lie from the enemy to paralyze us and steal our power.

Today's verse tells what God has given us: power, love, and self-discipline or self-control. When you are confident in God's promises, there's nothing that can stop you. But when fear creeps in, you hesitate. You're not as strong as you were before. You feel powerless. Not only that, but it affects your love. Love prompts us to give, and when we are afraid, we tend to clench our fists and act selfishly. Fear also affects our self-discipline or self-control. It makes us panic and do things without thinking.

If you've allowed fear to steal from you in any area of life, today you can be free–you can be finished with fear. Conquering fear starts with a choice to believe God's promises, and then taking a step of faith to act on them. As you step out, God will be with you. He'll give you power, love, and self-discipline so that you can confidently move forward into the abundant life He has for you!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

"Father God, I come to You today declaring that I am finished with fear. Thank You for giving me power, love, and a sound mind. I choose to stand on Your promises. Fill me with Your peace and joy today as I move forward in victory with You. In Jesus' Name. Amen."

Pray Until Something Happens

Just A Thought
Kenya Anderson

Have the attitude that says, God, in spite of what's happened, I choose to be grateful. I may be sick, but Father, thank You for being my healer. I may be struggling in my relationship, but God, thank You for being my restorer. Thank You for giving me another sunrise. As you give thanks you'll see God's hand move mightily. You'll come out of that difficulty better, stronger, and wiser than before!

  1. Today I am most thankful for Gods favor on my life and for keeping me focused on my purpose, a calm heart and a peace...if I could bottle it and give it to everyone I meet I would; a beautiful family and all of those in my life who may or may not know just HOW MUCH YOU'VE MADE A DIFFERENCE in the woman I am right now. ... I Thank God for you & pray that the blessing you are in my life be returned to you 10x's over!
