Even An Accident Has Purpose

Many times in prayer we ask for answers and much of the time we overlook the answer because it may not be the one we were hoping for. I can reflect on many prayers that indeed were answered but not in the manner I expected, but an answer just the same. I have an experienced appreciation for God in my life and at this moment am smiling like the Cheshire Cat because to me, God is everything, family (my heavenly father), friend (my unbiased ear), protector (a shield against all that comes against me, My rock (a firm foundation for me to stand) that one who I can come to as I am and know he understands. It is for me to remain focused that I recognize what is placed in front of me and to do so I must remain focused on His word (his promises for me & my life) that I know friend v/s foe as they are placed before me. Know the difference between a distraction & a blessing. Do I get it right all of the time, no, but I grow a little more closer to Him everyday the effort is made to know Him better.

Scripture of the Day: Deuteronomy 4:29-31
“29 But if from there you see the Lord your God, you will find him if you look for him with all your heart and with all your soul. 30 When you are in distress and all things have happened to you, then in later days you will return to the Lord your God and obey him. 31 For the Lord your God is a merciful God; he will not abandon or destroy you or forget the covenant with your forefathers, which he confirmed to them by oath."

Prayer for the Day:
Father thank you for keeping me close to you, in my heart, mind & soul. For accepting me as I am and guiding me. Your word empowers me, your care secures me; in all that I do keep my focus on you and all else will fall in line, in Jesus' Name, Amen

Thought for the day:
“People with goals succeed because they know where they are going “– Earl Nightingale

Goal for the day:
Make a plan, review your plan, implement your plan, oversee your plan & make changes, work your plan.

Discussion Topic:
What do you REALLY want?
Simple question, which should have a simple answer… But what I have found, recently, is that it is not as simple to respond to this question simply…mainly because we tend to complicate the simple…I am interested in hearing your feedback on this question…What do you really want?
