Trying to find our way through unfamiliar territory is useless without a map or compass. Navigating through life without a guide is as well. We were given free will to choose our course in life, we were also given the Word of God as a compass, if we choose to use it. If you are seeking direction in your life, invite Him in and pray for guidance and direction. Our Lord will not force himself upon those unwilling to receive Him, you have to grant Him access to your life and welcome his direction before he manifests himself in you.
Scripture of the Day: Psalm 25:1-5
“1 To you, O Lord, I lift up my soul;. 2 in you I trust, O my God. Do not let me be put to shame, nor let my enemies triumph over me. 3 No one whose hope is in you will ever be put to shame, but they will be put to shame who are treacherous without excuse. 4Show me your ways, O Lord, teach me your paths;. 5 guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.
Prayer for the Day:
Father, not my will but yours. I ask that you take the reins of my life and guide me that I am the full representation of your intention for my life. Steer me away from that which is not of you, place in my path those who forward your purpose and provide me the proper discernment between the two. I give you my life and faithfully trust your guidance, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
Thought for the day:
“For hundreds of millions of Americans who believe in God, prayer is our bridge between Earth and Heaven, our way of opening our hearts to the Lord. Through this intimate relationship we find peace and guidance. “– Nick Rahall
Goal for the day:
Give your life to God today and enjoy living today in joyous “autopilot” simply taking in the view.
Discussion Topic: Falling back, Into God’s Arms.
We’ve all seen the exercise where a person stands behind you and you fall back, trusting they will catch you. What is keeping you from “falling back” into the capable arms of God, knowing he is always there for you?
