When everything is seeming as if it is coming full circle, favor just around the bend, you are hit with everything but the kitchen sink and sometimes the kitchen sink too. Satin is the author of confusion, know your enemy & what is most important to your enemy. Your faith. If you can lose faith and begin to doubt the word of God, you give Satan an opening. My sister said it best, “when you are faithful, you are wearing the full armor of God, but every time you doubt or lose faith it is like a crack in your armor making you a little more vulnerable”. All your enemy needs is to locate your weakness to compromise your faith. Cover yourself in his word daily, continue to strengthen your faith so there is no weakness & treat your faith like American Express & “Don’t Leave Home Without It”.
Scripture of the Day: John 14:27
“14 I am leaving you with a gift – peace of mind and heart! And the peace I give isn’t fragile like the peace the world gives. So don’t be troubled or afraid.”
Prayer for the Day:
Father you said in your word, I will send my fear before thee, and will destroy all the people to whom thou shalt come, and I will make all thine enemies turn their backs unto thee (Exodus 23:27). I stand firm on your word and thank you for the gift of my peace of mind knowing you are in control, that you will not allow harm to come to me and that my enemy is already defeated, thank you father, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
Thought for the day:
“Many of us crucify ourselves between two thieves – regret for the past and fear of the future “– Fulton Oursler “
Goal for the day:
Don’t let your thoughts bind or break you. Quiet your mind and let your spirit move you.
Discussion Topic: Just When I Thought I Was Out, You Pull Me Back In.
I am smiling within thinking of my Grandmother & her words “Never ever say aloud “What’s the worse that could happen?” no sooner do you invite it, do you get your answer” It seems like many around me are feeling the same way, getting knocked back down every time they stand up. Me too, but I take comfort in the fact that I stand. I think of the circumstance and actually name it “trainer”. Like a trainer at a gym… you know when a circumstance gets bad it bends me down (squat), then I pop back up, it bends me down again & I pop back up…the more repetitions, the stronger my legs & the fiercer my walk.
