Today's Scripture Passage: Matthew 18:20
20 For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”Today’s Scripture Message:
The Daily Covering began as a simple prayer between my younger sister and I off of the scripture Matthew 18:20 “...where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” She was busy and lived about 45 minutes away from me so it was impossible to catch her at a specific time every day to say a prayer so we would get a scripture passage and pray via email. This being our way of covering both of our homes with prayer and having the presence of our Savior with us as we gathered at some point within the day on one accord in Jesus’ name. The blessing was this message grew to family, friends and acquantences. Then from email to Facebook and from there to a blogsite. I wanted to take the time to thank everyone who joins us regularly and those who stayed with us even when I could not post regularly. A multitude of gratitude to those who kept me in their prayers and checked in on me when life tried to pull me away. I was asked “Why do you do this, what do you get out of it?” The only answer I have is the thought of the blessing of the ability that I was gracefully given being shared in honor of my Heavenly Father, covering the homes and lives of everyone who shares with us ensuring His word touch as many people as possible that it remain a conduit of unending love and a foundation of greatness for endless generations to come. I believe if even one life is touched by the spirit of the words I have been granted by the scriptures I read and hold so dear to my heart, that my living was not in vein. Life has humbled me in ways I could not have seen but know the architect of my circumstances was always unequivocally God and if I could share that with as many people as possible then that covering is endless. We live in a world where technology has placed at our fingertips the ability to reach anyone, anywhere with a keystroke and what better way to do so than with the covering of our Savior and the blessing of our kingdom legacy preceding us every morning.
Father, I thank you for allowing me one more day to tell as many people as I can about you. For humbling me to the openness of all you grant me daily. Thank you for my life and all that you have purposed for it. Thank you for the sacrifice of your son, our Savior Jesus Christ to whom without the covering of the blood, shed for our sins, our destiny would be none. I without you am unfulfilled and I appreciate the amazing things you have shown me. The lessons of my living and the knowledge and wisdom stemming from those lessons though many times extremely difficult, will live on and for that, I thank you, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
