Day 12 Reconciliation Fasting

Heaven is not Earned, It is Entrusted

Today’s Scripture: II Corinthians 1:20-22 (NIV)

20For no matter how many promises God has made, they are "Yes" in Christ. And so through him the "Amen" is spoken by us to the glory of God. 21Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, 22set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.

Today’s Scripture Message

Worldly thought adds the necessity of conditional certification to justify or dictate your credential. Christianity offers promises not on condition but on action of faith where promises of our father are all Yeah & to His Glory our response “Amen”. As a father to a child you are entrusted His kingdom and it is up to you to share your knowledge and experience to further His kingdom. Never discount your existence because seemingly it is less than someone next to you. In the eye of our Father you have a specific purpose one granted to you and only you which will be different from that person to your left or your right. Live your life, live it purposely, have faith and share your witness. Come as you are, right where you are, it is enough.

Thought for the Day:

"Far away there in the sunshine are my highest aspirations. I may not reach them, but I can look up and see their beauty, believe in them, and try to follow where they lead." -Louisa May Alcott

Goal for the Day:

Know you have all you need and use what you have to elevate your circumstances.

(From Pastor Gregory Dickow’s – Fast From Wrong Thinking)

Today we are fasting from the thought that says: “If I just do more for God, perhaps He will finally bless me.” This thinking is robbing so many people of the blessing and privileges He wants us to walk in.

Let's CHANGE IT TODAY:

  1. Remember, Christianity is not about the promises we make to God, but the promises He makes to us. (2 Corinthians 1:20) The promises are YES. Our part: to say AMEN! Believe it. Receive it!

  1. Exchange this “slave” mentality for a “son” mentality. You don’t have to earn God’s blessing. It's your right as a son. (Romans 8:15) Stop trying to DO enough. You ARE enough—a son/daughter!

  1. Stop seeing yourself as an outsider. Mark 1:11 says you are His beloved child. He’s pleased with your faith. Faith brought Abraham into the blessing, and it brings you too! (Galatians 3:8-9)

  1. You are already blessed! Ephesians 1:3 says, "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who HAS ALREADY BLESSED US, with all spiritual blessings in Christ Jesus." See it? We are already blessed! Thank Him--that’s the prayer of faith!

  1. Freely we have received; now freely give. KNOWING that you have freely received puts into motion a generous attitude, which perpetuates more blessing. (Matthew 10:8)

  1. We have a covenant of blessing! God’s blessing will overtake you when you BELIEVE in this covenant. Jesus earned it for you. It sounds too good to be true; but it IS true. (Genesis 17:2-8)

THINK IT & SAY IT:
I live by the promises of God. I am a son/daughter of God. I am not a slave, needing to earn my blessing or earn my freedom. The Son has made me free; and God has already blessed me with all blessings. I have freely received; therefore I am free to give. I have a covenant of blessing and I am not on the outside, looking in; I have an inheritance. I am in God’s will, in Jesus’ Name!
