Lord help me please
As I fall down on my knees
And ask you to help me believe
I have strength.
Because my head aches
And my heart continues to break
When I acknowledge my positive trait
Is diminishing.
You see I’ve been through hell & back
Raced time on life’s track
Given my all when I lacked
Anything to give
I know I have your love
Even when times get rough
But still I feel I couldn’t have done enough
Because I hurt.
And then he answered me….
You know with love comes pain
You shouldn’t give to gain
Nothing I do is in vein
Of you.
Know that through that hurt
Life will give way to birth
To something greater than earth
For you
Look beyond this present time
And always keep in mind
Never be blind
To the fact only you can erase your blessing
So if it all goes up in smoke
Remember I’ll be tugging your rope
Because I’ll never let you drown your hope
In sorrow.
Know that I AM love
Not just a figure above
You have to believe in me enough
Not to question it
So tonight when you close your eyes
Know that you will rise
It just may not be your time
This very moment.
