That Name is Jesus

Today’s Scripture: John 14:13-17

13And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. 15"If you love me, you will obey what I command. 16And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever— 17the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.

Today’s Scripture Message:

I heard a wonderful message this morning about the power of faith in the  covering we have praying, asking & healing in the name of Jesus.  As with many things we do routinely our prayers end “in Jesus’ name, Amen” but without the conviction of faith behind the binding of that prayer, they are only words. Ending prayer in the name of Jesus is to bring glory to the Father that the works expected become evident as faith is the belief in things unseen. A wonderful explanation of prayer in the name of Jesus is found at bible.org Significance in Prayer in His Name stating:  “The condition of the believer is evidently vital in availing prayer. Obedience is a part of asking “in His name.” But it is not simply a battle to do the Lord’s will that wins answer in prayer. It is not a barter of our good works for what we want in prayer. It is infinitely higher than this. From the teachings in the parting counsels of Christ, we learn that the key to the condition of the believer which corresponds to being “in my name” is found in the ministry of the Holy Spirit and in our abiding in Christ. It is evident that these two features are bound intimately together”. In Matthew 14:28-31 Peter said to Jesus, 28"Lord, if it's you," Peter replied, "tell me to come to you on the water." 29"Come," he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. 30But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, "Lord, save me!" 31Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. "You of little faith," he said, "why did you doubt?" A while ago I was told by someone, “Be careful, believing the literal expectation of the word leads to disappointment” but I am a witness, my faithful expectation of the Word of God has never and will never fail me. It is my continence and the reason why, through many trials & turbulent times, I am still here to witness to all that has been evidenced to me according to faithful prayer according to the His word, covered by the blood of Jesus in his name that All Truth be self evident.  Unlike the world, Kingdom truth is exactly what it is TRUTH…not the perception or variation of truth. Glory to God, in Jesus’ name everything done in his name is blessing and His will always be done to His honor.
